Tips on Styling men's fashion Men's Fashion Uncategorized

Here’s everything you need to know about styling men’s clothes

It’s rare to find a guy who cares so much about his style, I said style not fashion, although they are two cords on contract. I know most guys who just put anything and be like ‘no one will notice’ unfortunately for them, people like me always notice

Men’s clothing are actually more difficult than that of women’s, the issues of colour, clothing material, design and accessories are way more complicated. From the collar type, knotted tie (which comes in different style variations) cufflinks, trousers/pants, shirts and to his footwears matters a lot as to how or what he looks like after an outfit struggle (which we all go through once in a while)

Today style guide is a little something we compiled for the guys since its been all about the ladies for a while but no worries, am not going to talk about what belt to wear with what shoes (atleast not today)

All I want to do is to state what I noticed lately about guys fashion and also what I learnt in a fashion show/workshop about a month ago (sorry it took me a while to share this)

Styling Men’s Clothes: Things You Need To Know

As we said earlier, style doesn’t necessarily imply fashion, style is what you put on at anytime or season and you still feel comfortable with what you wearing but when a fashion trend doesn’t fit into your style, trust me it’s not your style and no matter what you do, it won’t look good on you

Back to our discussion (it seems we have digressed) so let’s begin

  • Average or short guys should go for pointed shoes and stay away from shorts (or however you call it)

  • Also (still on short or average guys) stay away from large collars and ties with a large knot as this makes you look shorter than you are (Not that you are but it makes your height too obvious)

  • Thin collars buttoned to the neck style should call your attention, this gives a full view of your upper body and tends to look elongated
  • Avoid shirts that don’t fit at all, you will just look stuffy
  • For an informal look, try a polo shirt leave the buttons open, a denim too but not ones bit enough to make a dress

  • Also guys with straight legs can wear any kind of pants or trousers as they have no problem but if your legs aren’t straight do well to stay away from fitted or tight trousers, opt for the ones that don’t make your legs curves too obvious
